Russian business to pay for struggle with terrorism
Russian president Vladimir Putin imposed obligation for partial financing of National Anti-terrorist Commission activity on businessman organizations by decree dated 28.02.06.
The decree of Vladimir Putin suggests Russian government to develop mechanism of Russian businessman participation in financing activity of National Anti-terrorist Commission. The source close to force structures insists on "voluntary financing of anti-terrorist activity by largest business-structures of Russia". Business organizations will be voluntarily obliged to create appropriate funds.
The head of Russian Union of businessmen and industrialists bureau Alexander Shokhin confirmed the existence of appropriate document but refused to estimate its content because of poor knowledge of the subject. He emphasized that his party will discuss issues connected with the decree next week. Kremlin, White House and Federal Security Service didn`t comment the innovation in sphere of anti-terrorist organization financing.
National Anti-terrorist Commission is established by presidential decree "About measures for terrorism opposition", which came into force in the beginning of the week after signing of new antiterrorist law by Putin. First session of the institution was held on Tuesday in Moscow. According to presidential decree, sessions of National Anti-terrorist Commission will be held at least once per 2 months - every Tuesday of odd month.
