Russia to submit issues concerning ordinary citizens to G8 summit
Questions submitted by Russia to G8 summit will concern lives of ordinary citizens, informed assistant of Russian president, Russian representative in "G8" Igor Shuvalov.
"It is important for citizens of G8 countries to realize that forth-coming summit is not a political event, where global questions are discussed. All issues submitted to summit in St. Petersburg have a direct bearing on lives of common people", - he said on international forum of non-government organizations "Civil G8-2006".
Shuvalov reminded that Russia has distinguished 3 priority themes within the frames of its chairmanship: energy security, professional education and health protection.
Shuvalov emphasized that politicians rely on support of civil society in solution of these problems. Within the frames of last year`s British chairmanship 2 forums with participation of political elite and representatives of non-government organizations were held.
"We decided to intensify this dialogue because agenda of our chairmanship is important and we are ready to discuss all questions with non-government organizations", - said Shuvalov.
