The leaders of Russia, Italy, Germany, France, great Britain, Ukraine and nearly 50 countries will participate in the tenth summit of the forum " Asia - Europe (ASEM), held in Milan on October 16-17. Meeting in the multilateral format of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia is scheduled for October 17.
ASEM is an International organization that brings together the countries of East Asia and Europe, which account for more than half of world trade and world gross product. The main objective of the forum is the development of cooperation of the member States in the fields of politics, security, financial-economic, socio-cultural spheres and transport. Russia was widely adopted in ASEM in 2010 in Brussels. The ASEM summits are held every 2 years.
