Russian masters of fencings won gold
At the finals of team competitions the Russian four consisting of Stanislav Pozdnyakov, Alexei Yakimenko, Alexei Diachenko and Alexei Frosin scored a victory over Italians.
Deciding single combat ended with the victory of Pozdnyakov over Luidgi Tarantino. The result of contest was 45:44.
But Russian women did not gain any medals in Leipzig. Karina Aznavuryan, Oksana Ermakova, Anna Sivkova and Lubov Shutova reached semi-final but could not win their competitors from Hungary - 26:27. Single combat for bronze Russian team lost Germans - 22:26. French women won gold medals.
