Media: the French Company did not want to put Russian spy satellites from the U.S.
Satellite Firm Thales Alenia Space has suspended a deal with Moscow on the production and delivery for the Russian army spy satellites because of the suspicion of the U.S. that satellites are able to contain American technology, and their delivery contradicts entered against Russia sanctions.
The press-Secretary of the French organization, Sandrine Bielecki said that Thales Alenia Space will not violate the rules of export surveillance of the USA and France. She added that now the Company has stopped all discussion of new military projects with Russia, and suspends execution of the current contracts, reports The Washington Free Beacon. The journal emphasizes that a few years ago the Company Thales Alenia Space was involved in illegal transfer to China space technology American origin. It is worth mentioning that in June 2011, Russia and France signed an agreement on the construction of two (2) helicopter carrier type " Mistral ". 1st of them, " Vladivostok ", had to be handed over to the Russian side on 14 November, however, the ceremony was cancelled at the initiative of Paris. The head of the French Republic Francois Hollande on November 25 announced the decision to stop at some time the delivery of the first helicopter type " Mistral " for the Russian Federation because of the situation in Ukraine. In the case of final refusal to supply Moscow two Mistral France will have to pay Russia for about 3 billion euros. Russia has already prepared all the documents for submission to the court of France. Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
