Found the first Christmas cartoon Disney


A true cinematic masterpiece - 1st Christmas cartoon, designed by Walt disney, found in Northern Norway. Previously considered lost tape was in one of the not very large libraries.

The main hero of the black-and-white animated film "Empty socks" (Empty Socks) was a sample of Mickey mouse is a character named Oswald the lucky rabbit. The film was found during the inventory of the library collection in the metropolis Mu commune Wound, located North of the Arctic circle in Norway.

According to the curator of the archive of Kwale Sorensen, pre nobody guessed that it was a lost cinematic treasure. "The film was located on the 2nd poorly labeled tapes", - he explained. Experts Disney said that in the original length cartoon was 5 and a half minutes, but 30 to 60 seconds of recording was not saved on the detected film.

Let us add that the only previously known point "Empty Socks", currently stored in the Museum of progressive skills in new York, lasted about 25 seconds. First found a copy of the cartoon was owned by a private individual, then it was transferred to the Norwegian film Institute. Then the film was on saving in one of the archives of the National library. Now the management of the institution intends to pass to the find company Disney.
