Best Russian horses raced in "Tatarstan Cup"
Races for "Tatarstan Cup" were held on Sunday in international horse-sporting complex "Kazan".
The purpose of competition is further development and popularization of horse sport and performance of achievements of national horse-breeding.
40 best racers and more than 50 best trotters from all parts of Russia participated in race. There were 10 rounds on prizes for thoroughbred horses of different breeds.
Besides 2 "Tatarstan Cup" prizes of 150 thousands rubles were awarded prizes of Zainsk, Buinsk, Elabuga, Naberezhniye Chelny, Kazan, Nurlat, Almetevsk towns.
By Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture data, there are 73 thousands of horses at present moment in republic. About 1700 of them are racehorses. For support of horse breeding 16 millions of rubles are given from budget.
