Seumas Milne: the West will no longer be able to rule the entire world
Columnist of the Guardian Seumas Milne wrote in his article that Russia has challenged US not with the annexation of Crimea, but much earlier, during the attack by Georgia on South Ossetia in 2008. Then, this trend continued and was clearly a demonstration during the Syrian events. Western intervention in the internal Affairs of Ukraine was the culmination of all of the contradictions, which showed two approaches to solving the world's problems.
The author has no doubt that the decline in oil prices, was a planned action designed to strike at the economy of Russia, Iran and Venezuela. It was revenge for all those defeats that the West has failed for the last time in the middle East. Saudi Arabia has brought down oil prices and the US welcomed this process.
Western countries are no longer single-handedly leading economies. China has become the most developed economy in the world, except in Latin America tend to move away from the oppression of American capital and choose its own path of development.
At the end of his article, Seumas Milne tries to understand what will replace the liberal economic model.
