Igor Shuvalov: the Russian economy went into a structural crisis before the events in Ukraine
DAVOS (Switzerland), 23 Jan - RIA Novosti/Prime. The structural crisis in the Russian economy even before the events in Ukraine, considers the 1st Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
"We do not come from a single drop (2008-2009) and then gently began to move in another, even before the events in Ukraine and that is associated with the Crimea, because We very quickly began to lose pace and it was clear that there is a Structural crisis," said Shuvalov at the business Breakfast Sberbank in the framework of the world economic forum in Davos.
Relations between the Russian Federation and the West in 2014 deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. The US, EU and several other countries did not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia, accused Moscow of interfering in the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine and brought against the Russian Federation in several stages of economic punishment. Russia has stated many times that is not a party to domestic conflict and is interested in its early resolution.
