Scientists have found a new species of ancient man
A new species of primitive man lived in East Asia from 490 to 10 thousand years ago. On its opening inform the Japanese media. Outdoor ancient man was named "Man Penghu".
Scientists from several Japanese, Australian and Taiwanese institutions made the discovery that shed light on the past of the ancient people. Conclusion about the opening of the scientists made after analysis of the jaw fragment of ancient man, who was found near Penghu Islands off the West coast of Taiwan.
First, the researchers concluded that the fossils belong to 1 of the other previously discovered species barbaric people - the "Java man", "florescano man" or "Peking man". However a more detailed study of the jaw has led to the conclusion that the jaw belongs to a new species of primates of the genus inhabitants of our planet, which was named "man Penghu".
Specific "person Penghu" became especially large jaws, which are more ancient representatives of the people. "We believe that their particular ancestors belonged to the oldest population of people in Asia or came from Africa in the later period," TASS quoted one of the participants in the study Asuka the Buzz from the Institute of Tokyo.
"People Penghu" not classified as a direct ancestor of the modern inhabitants of our planet. And yet identified fossils allow us to hope that the Asian region was at one time the scene of rough competition between the various adherents of the ancient inhabitants of our planet.
