St. Petersburg is 12th in world cost of living ratings
Saint Petersburg, Russia, has become 12th in the list of world cities most expensive for expatriates. The information is published in the annual worldwide cost of living survey conducted by Mercer Human Resource Consulting.
According to the survey, St. Petersburg was also 12th in the last year ratings, however, total cost of living in the city for foreigners was a bit lower.
Moscow occupies the first place in the list.
The Mercer Human Resource Consulting list includes 143 cities, in particular, Copenhagen, Paris, Los Angeles, Kiev and others. The survey measures the comparative cost of over 200 items in each location, including housing, transport, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment. It is the world?s most comprehensive cost of living survey and is used to help multinational companies and governments determine compensation allowances for their expatriate employees.
