KOZLOVSKIY Ivan Semenovich (1900-93), Russia's singer (lyric tenor), People's Artist of the USSR (1940), Hero of Socialist Labor (1980).
In 1926-54 the Bolshoi Theater. Among the parties: Lensky ( "Yevgeny Onegin" by Tchaikovsky), Simpleton ( "Boris Godunov" by Mussorgsky), Lohengrin ( 'Lohengrin' by Wagner). USSR State Prize (1941, 1949).
