Biography Sechenov, Ivan Mikhailovich
(1829-1905 gg.) - Russia's great scholar, founder of Russian physiology and scientific psychology. In 1856, Mr.. graduated from the Medical Faculty of Moscow University, continued his studies in Berlin. In 1860, Mr.. defended his doctoral thesis "about the physiology of alcohol intoxication". In Medical-Surgical Academy in charge of the department, where he founded the physiological laboratory. Posted textbook "Physiology of the Nervous System", translated Hermann textbook "Fundamentals of Physiology. In 1876, Mr.. prilashen chair of physiology at the Petersburg University, also lectured on Bestuzhev women's courses. Since 1889, Mr.. - Assistant professor at Moscow University. Major works: "Reflexes of the Brain" (1866, reprinted in 1961), "Psychological Studies: a collection of articles" (1873), "Autobiographical Notes" (1907), "physiological sketches" in two parts (1923), "Selected Works" (1935).
