Biography AUGUST Paul Friedrich (August)
(1783-1853) - Grand Duke of Oldenburg. From the dynasty of Oldenburg. Son of Peter I Friedrich Ludwig, Duke of Oldenburg and Elisabeth, Frederick, daughter of Frederick Eugene, Duke of Wц?rttemberg. Together with his father emigrated to Russia, where in 1811, Mr.. Oldenburg was occupied by French troops stationed on the Russian military service, served as governor-general Revel. In 1812-14 he. participated in the wars against Napoleonic France, in 1816, Mr.. returned to Rolin.
In July 1817, Mr.. entered into the first marriage to Adelheid, . daughter of Victor Charles, . Prince of Anhalt-Bernburg-Shaumburgskogo after the death of spouse (1820) took the married Ida, . her younger sister, . but she died in 1827, . leaving a wife a son - the future Peter II, Nicholas Frederick, .
