Duet (originally - trio) Alter Ego was created in 1990.
Roman Stolyarov pianist and saxophonist Andrew Turygin. Already in 1991. the duo made in the USA on the program of Soviet-American cultural cooperation. The duo performs written by both parties to the author's music, which combine and overlap elements of academic, folk traditions and free-jazz. In 1996. the duo recorded an album, scheduled for release on the label Novosibirsk Ermatell Records (due to financial difficulties label CD is not released yet). In 1998. spoke at the Kishinev Jazz Festival.
(piano, keyboards, melodica) was born in 1967, graduated from the Novosibirsk Musical College as a jazz pianist and - then - Novosibirsk Conservatory as a composer (specializes in contemporary academic and electronic music). Since 1989. - An active participant of jazz life in Novosibirsk, participates in a variety of compositions (from mainstream to free jazz). In 1996. at the Novosibirsk Ermatell Records label released CD free-jazz group "New Generation" with his participation ( "Jazz Journal of Immunology", JCD 009). His status at the same time academic and a jazz musician and author to demonstrate in his writings "Con Fusion" (Concerto for piano and jazz orchestra) and "Credo RS" (Concerto for improviser and synths). With his "Concerto for the improviser and phonogram" novel in May 1999. spoke in Ljubljana (Slovenia) organized by the Soros Foundation for the III International Festival of Arts interdisciplinary.
