Andrew Turygin

Duet (originally - trio) Alter Ego was created in 1990. Roman Stolyarov pianist and saxophonist Andrew Turygin. Already in 1991. the duo made in the USA on the program of Soviet-American cultural cooperation. The duo performs written by both parties to the author's music, which combine and overlap elements of academic, folk traditions and free-jazz. In 1996. the duo recorded an album, scheduled for release on the label Novosibirsk Ermatell Records (due to financial difficulties label CD is not released yet). In 1998. spoke at the Kishinev Jazz Festival.
(alto and soprano saxophone) was born in 1968, graduated from the Novosibirsk Conservatory, class alto saxophone. At the present time - the first saxophonist Novosibirsk Philharmonic Big Band, led by his mentor, Vladimir Tolkachev. Attended and participated in a variety of jazz compositions Novosibirsk (quintet Oleg PETRIKOVA, "Romantic jazz quartet), performed at festivals in Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Bishkek, as well as in the U.S., Canada and Finland. In 1997. also created its own group-oriented fusion and contemporary jazz (with the guitarist Ivan Krivtsov, keyboardist Alexis Milutin, Vladislav Tretyakov bassist and drummer Michael Belyaev). She teaches at a music school, participates in various academic and rock projects. In discography Andrew - two CD, released Novosibirsk jazz label Ermatell Records ( "Romantic jazz quartet" - "Orthodox", 1997, and Eurosib International Big Band - "School Notebook, 1995).
