Biography Ostrogorsky Alexander Yakovlevich
(1868 - 1908). He graduated from the Faculty of St. Petersburg University. When Prince Tenishev founded in 1899. its special type of school, he invited the directors of Ostrogorsky that country's new methods of education and upbringing, strangers to the school routine, paying more attention to the individuality of students. His works are: the school anthology of Russian literature, "Living Word" (1907, 11 ed., . 1915), . recognized as the best tool of this kind to familiarize students with their own words; "Russian spelling" (St. Petersburg, . 1908; 11-ed., . 1915), "How to arrange a secondary school (St. Petersburg, . 1903), "Commercial Education in Russia (St. Petersburg, . 1895), . Ostrogorsky to 1896. edited the journal "Education". Ostrogorsky in the years of freedom "was a vowel of the St. Petersburg city council, performed at rallies organized by the teachers union, set up a university law courses.
