Biography Al-Asma
(ca. 741-828) His teacher was a scholar from Basra Abu 'Amr ibn al-Alaa. Thanks to the patronage of a powerful kind of Barmakids at work al-Asma drew the attention of the Caliph Harun al-Rashid. After his death, al-Asma returned to Basra and established his own school. After students shrine of his teachings and writings, al-Asma had a decisive impact on the lexicographers subsequent times. They compiled an anthology of 72 works of pre-Islamic poets and ranneislamskih - Al-Asmayiyat.
