Biography GRIEG Nurdal (Grieg Nordahl)
(1902-1943) Born November 1, 1902 in Bergen. Was brought distant relative of composer Edvard Grieg (1843-1907). He predicted a university career, but already in the early years, he preferred to journey to mainland Europe and rich in adventure path journalist. His own poems were the emotional 'Rudyard Kipling' variations on a theme of patriotism in AMD noticeable influence of Russian writers, . They stressed modern, . especially our glory and our strength (Vr re og vr mart, . 1935) and defeat (Nederlaget, . 1937), . His best novel, The World has yet to be young (Men ung m verden ennu vre, 1939) was created under the influence of the Moscow trials and participation in the Spanish Civil War. In 1940, Grieg fought against the German invaders, entered the Norwegian government in London, wrote a wonderful cycle of poems, who had a spirit of resistance. Killed on board the bomber during an air raid on Berlin on Dec. 3, 1943.
