Biography YONGKIND Jan Bartholdy (Jongkind Johan Barthold)
(1819-1891) Born Latrope June 3, 1819. Initially, he studied at The Hague from Andreas Shelfhauta, in 1846-1855 worked in Paris with Eugц?ne Isabey, and in 1855 returned to Holland because of illness. Until 1860 he lived near Rotterdam, and then returned to Paris and eventually settled in CцЄte-Saint-Andrц?, near Grenoble. Died Yongkind in Grenoble February 9, 1891. Early works Yongkinda were typically Dutch and reflect the artist's love for winter landscapes. In the first scenes of the Paris period shows the influence of Isabey, gradually they traced the acquisition of the free writing technique. Later in painting Yongkinda appear impressionistic tendencies, which are particularly affected in the use of bright palette and brush strokes of pure, unmixed colors.
