Born July 5, 1755 in Breknoke (Wales). In 1773 she married William Siddons, an actor itinerant troupe of his father, R. Kemble. Had heard about the game Siddons D. Garrick invited her in 1775 in the theater 'Drury Lane' on the role of Portia in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. Debut in London were unsuccessful, and the actress returned to the province. In 1782 it again - this time with a triumph - came on the stage of 'Drury Lane' in the role of Isabella in Garrick's play The Fatal Marriage (The Fatal Marriage). Famous actress brought her classic beauty, craftsmanship elocution, but above all the interpretation of the image of Lady Macbeth: Siddons is perhaps the best Lady Macbeth in the history of world theater. Among its other successes include acting and Desdemona in Shakespeare's Volumniya Koriolane. Siddons left the scene in 1818 after a series of triumphal farewell performances. Siddons died in London on June 8, 1831.
