Biography Meindert Hobbema (Hobbema Meindert)
(1638-1709) Born October 31, 1638 in Amsterdam. From 1655 to 1657 he studied under Jacob van Ruisdael in Amsterdam, wrote kinds of wooded and sandy areas to the west of Haarlem and in the eastern provinces of the Netherlands. Receiving in 1668 the place excise official in the municipality, it seems, for some time left classes in painting. Their resume shows one of the most famous of his works - a picture of Alley in Middelharnise (London, National Gallery), written probably in 1689.
