Genin, Robert

(11.VIII.1884, with. High Smolensk Province. - After 1936, U.S.)
Youth held in Odessa and Vilna. With 15 years studied drawing in private schools. In 1902, Mr.. briefly in high school A. Aschbe in Munich, where he met with VV. Kandinsky, A.G. Jawlensky and M.V. Verevkina. Many traveled, worked in Paris and Cairo, later settled in Berlin. In 1910-ies. engaged in easel and monumental painting. Been influenced by P. Puvis de Chavannes, and especially Mr.. von Mare. Later concentrated on graphics, illustrated books for the Berlin and Munich publisher (F. Gurlita, P. Kasserera, Dolphin, etc.), performed graphic albums. In 1914, Mr.. sent work in the Russian section of the Baltic Exhibition in Malmo (Sweden). Participated in exhibitions in the gallery image Tangauzer in Munich (1919) and Flehtgeym in Berlin (1922, 1923.).
