P yzhov Alexander - Commander of the 28 th Guards Rifle Corps. Born November 23, 1895 in the village Kuryaniha now Kineshma region Ivanovo region. Russian. He worked in a notary's office in Kineshma.

In the army since 1915. Participant 1-st World War, Ensign. Member of the Civil War in the North, North-West and South fronts. In 1924 he graduated from the Higher Courses of commanders, in 1935 Б?  2 courses of the Military Academy named after MV Frunze, in 1940 Б?  nachsostava postgraduate courses at the Military Academy of the General Staff.

. In Private World War II from June 1941 to the post of commandant of the fortified area in the Odessa Military District
. Ensure compliance with the combat mission and, despite repeated frontal attacks of the enemy, held the position before receiving the order of the departure. Since September 1941 Б?  Commander 296 th Infantry Division, which led the defensive battles in the area of Donbass. In February and July 1942 Б?  deputy commander and the 3rd Guards Rifle Corps in July 1942 Б?  commander of 56-th army that stopped the Nazis on the outskirts of north-western spurs of the Caucasus. From January 1943 Б?  commander of 18 th Army, which went on the offensive and liberated from Nazi invaders Krasnodar. Then commanded the 46 th, 47 th, 37 th, 4 th Guards, the 70 armies in battles for the liberation of the Left Bank of Ukraine, participated in the organization crossing the Dnieper, in the defeat of Korsun-Shevchenko group of fascists. From July 1944 the commander of Б?  28 th Guards Rifle Corps (2-th Belorussian Front), provided the breakthrough of the German defense and liberation of the city of Lublin. Corps under his command successfully acted in the Vistula-Oder operation when part of it went over 300 kilometers, and liberated many settlements and inflicted heavy losses in manpower and equipment.

. W tion of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin and medal "Gold Star" Alexander Ivanovich Ryzhova awarded April 6, 1945 for the successful conduct of military units and for displaying personal courage and heroism.,

. After the war, continued to serve in senior command positions in the army
. Lived in Moscow. Died Dec. 16, 1950. He was buried in Moscow, the Novodevichy cemetery.

. Awarded 4 orders of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov, 2-nd degree, medals and foreign decorations.
