Biography Ignatius of Antioch (Ignatios)
Ignatius of Antioch; Ignatios, mind. app. 110 g. n. e., Greek Christian writer, bishop of Syrian Antioch, Apostolny Father. During one of the persecutions under the emperor Trajan, was arrested and sentenced to death (he was supposed to be given to wild beasts in Rome). Throughout the way to Rome, he received the delegation of local churches.
