Meliton (Meliton)

Melito; Meliton, of Sardis, II in. n. e., Greek Christian apologist. Student pediment, possibly defended Christianity before Antonin Verom. M. was a prolific writer. Preserved the scattered fragments of his works of Eusebius of Caesarea, Jerome and Athanasius Sinai. In 1940. found Easter conversation (Eis to pathos) in the full version. Based on the Talks and the surviving fragments of other works can be argued that M. was a talented writer and a great stylist.
