Biography Martynov, Leonid
Leonid Martynov (1905 - 1980), poet, translator.
Born on 9 May (22 NS) in Omsk, in the family vehicle routes, closely followed the education and spiritual growth of her son, who supported his interest in technology and drawing. The love of poetry came to Martynov after his acquaintance with the poetry of Mayakovsky. Second love, he later call Blok.

Yet graduated from high school, Martynov actively collaborated in three Omsk newspapers - "Work Path", the railway - "Signal" and "the Siberian Vodnik. Working on the notes, chronicles, bibliography and accidents, he is more fond of writing poems on various topics - contemporary, historical, lyrical. His first poems were published in 1921. As a reporter for newspapers and magazines Martynov in 1920 - 30 traveled Siberia and Central Asia.

. In 1930 he published a large series of poems dedicated to the historical past of Russia ( "Story of a Russian engineer," Tobol chronicler, "" Tale about Ataman Basil Tyumentsev ", etc.)
. The first collection of poetry "Poems and Poems" was released in Omsk in 1939. How would the commentary to the poem became art-historical essays in prose, "Fortress of Omi" (1939), "The Tale of the Tobolsk province" (1945). Digest Lukomorye "and" Ertsinsky forest "were lyrical poet. Postwar criticism unfair strongly condemned the series "Lukomorye", and this led to a nearly ten-year break in the publication of the poet.

. In 1960, there are new collections of poems of the poet: "birthright", "Voice of Nature", "Human Names" in 1972 - a collection of "hyperbola", "Earth's burden", etc.
. Martynov was busy translating poetry from English, French, Italian, Polish, etc.. languages.

He wrote also owned a collection of correspondence and essays ( "Hard food", 1930), an autobiographical novel "The air frigates" (1974), a book about the literary work - "Ways of poetry" (1975). In 1980 at age 75 L. Martynov died.
