Biography Jakkar Joseph Marie
Jakkar (Jacquard) Joseph Marie (1752-1834), French engineer. In 1804, invented a fully automatic machine for making krupnouzorchatyh tissues, so-called machine Jacquard. Machine ruled punched cards and had a counting mechanism. Deck of cards with different arrangement of holes asking for a pattern woven cloth. Each card controls one way shuttle. Jacquard machine is still used in the weaving industry, and his idea was subsequently used to process information using computers.
