Guarneri

Guarneri (Guarnieri, Guarneri or Guarnerius), a famous family of Italian masters of stringed instruments 17-18 centuries. The oldest of the Masters was Andrea Guarneri (p. app. 1626 - mind. December 7, 1698), which, like A. Stradivari, he studied his craft in the workshop N. Amati. Eldest son, Andrea - Pietro Giovanni (born in Cremona on Feb. 18, 1655, died in Mantua, March 26, 1720) - known as Pietro of Mantua. Some tools are made on his own original model. The younger brother Pietro - Giuseppe Giovanni (p. November 25, 1666 - d.. app. 1740) known as Giuseppe, the son of Andrea, in his later work was influenced by his son Giuseppe, known as Giuseppe del Gesц№ (born in Cremona on Aug. 21, 1698, died in Cremona on Oct. 17, 1744), the most famous member of the family.
The best violin made by Giuseppe del Gesц№, not inferior to the best instruments of Stradivari and even surpass them. Not as bright sounding as Stradivarius violins, these tools have a remarkable warmth and sonority of tone. H Famed violinist. Paganini played on one of the tools Giuseppe del Gesц№.

The last of the masters of the family was Pietro Guarneri Guarneri, known as Pietro of Venice (p. April 14, 1695 - d.. April 7, 1762), son of Giuseppe, the son of Andrea and his nephew Pietro of Mantua.
