Chen Kaige (Chen Kaige)

Director. Born August 12, 1952. During the Cultural Revolution in order to re-was exiled to the rubber plantations. In 1982 he graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. His first feature film 'Yellow Land' (1984) soon brought him international fame. One of the most talented directors of the Chinese 'new wave', known as the 'fifth generation'.
