Helen Hunt was born June 15, 1963 in Culver City (California). In 1966, her parents - Jane (photographer) and Gordon (director and coach) Khanty - moved to New York for six years. Returning to Los Angeles, Helen was the first role in the TV movie "Pioneer Woman". In this role, followed by others - in "Bill: On His Own," "Choices of the Heart," "Land of Little Rain" for the PBS television network and in "The Miracle of Kathy Miller", where she played an athlete who has to cope with serious injury - her favorite role. Then Helen collapsed on the whole avalanche of proposals for roles in various television shows and movies. On the big screen, it still is not getting any, even minor - rather incidental role. After a while Helen went again to New York to gain stage experience. In 1989, her dream came true one - she got a role in the Broadway show. Nevertheless, the actress was not going to stop work on television, and least of all was going to surrender before a huge crowd eager to fame in film. Helen has played a small role in "Peggy Sue Got Married", but there are competitors were Nick Cage and Kathleen Turner, and it just did not notice. The same thing happened with the movie "Far from home" with Richard Gere. Then, Helen, in her own words, began to track down the role as a hunting dog. And yet snatched his role in "kiss of death" with David Caruso and the same Cage. But this time the role was not continuous, and soon Helen received her share of fame and even an Oscar - for his film "As Good As It Gets", where it was filmed with Jack Nicholson (!). Free time, Helen Hunt prefers to share the dance, painting and yoga. From time to time, it collects at home friends-actors to read a particular play - just for myself.
