He was educated at the London School 'Shelter Christ' (1791-1799), almost all his life spent in London or close to it. Hunt decided early to devote his life to literature. Starting with a collection of poetic verses Youth (Juvenilia, 1801), he then took up for any literary work, which promised at least some monetary reward. The most famous episode of Hunt's biography is his trip to Italy (1822-1825), where he was invited Percy Bysshe Shelley and Dzh.G.Bayron, who were preparing to entrust him with the work of publishing the new journal 'Liberal' ( 'Liberal'). In his memoirs, Lord Byron and some of his contemporaries (Lord Byron and Some of His Contemporaries, 1828), Hunt tried to settle old scores, but has only new contention. Hunt visited the editor of eleven periodicals. As a critic he recognized early and enthusiastic poetry Keats, Shelley, Tennyson and other poets. From his own poetic creativity remembers only two short poems: Abu bin Adhem (Arabic. Father son of Adam, ie. man) and Jenny kissed me (Jenny Kissed Me) and a lengthy affair History Rimini (The Story of Rimini, 1816). Hunt has written numerous plays, beginning with the Florentine legend (A Legend of Florence, 1840), but were put on the stage very few of them. Posted by curious Autobiography (Autobiography, 1850). Hunt died in London on August 28, 1859.
