Born December 19, 1906. In 1927 he graduated from the Agricultural College. In 1931, Brezhnev was admitted to the party. During the Second World War, he headed the political department of the army. Prior to 1952, when Brezhnev was named one of the secretaries of the CPSU Central Committee, he held various positions in partrukovodstve in Ukraine and Moldavia. After the death of Stalin, Brezhnev was removed from his post as Central Committee Secretary and Deputy Head of the Main Political Administration put the army and navy. For the patronage of Khrushchev in 1954, Brezhnev has partrukovodstvo in the virgin lands of Kazakhstan, in 1956, returned to the post of Secretary of the Central. After the fall of Khrushchev, Brezhnev takes over the leadership of the CPSU. In 1978 he published three books of memoirs - "Low Land", "Celina", "Revival", for which in 1979 he was awarded the Lenin Prize for Literature. Brezhnev died on Nov. 10, 1982 in Moscow.
