Born in the village Glinzheny (Moldova). Graduated Orhei Teacher Training College (1955). From 1957 - Actor Alecu Russo Balty Moldovan-Russian Music and Drama Theater.
State Winner. Prize of the Moldavian SSR (1976, for participation in the film 'Dimitrie Cantemir').
People's Artist of the MSSR.
People's Artist of USSR (1988).
