Biography AUGUST Paul Friedrich (August)
(1783-1853) - Grand Duke of Oldenburg. From the dynasty of Oldenburg. Son of Peter I Friedrich Ludwig, Duke of Oldenburg and Elisabeth, Frederick, daughter of Frederick Eugene, Duke of Wц╪rttemberg. Together with his father emigrated to Russia, where in 1811, Mr.. Oldenburg was occupied by French troops stationed on the Russian military service, served as governor-general Revel. In 1812-14 he. participated in the wars against Napoleonic France, in 1816, Mr.. returned to Rolin.
