Biography Roman the Great
(N-1205) - Prince of Novgorod (1168-1169), Vladimir-Volyn (since 1170), Galician (since 1199). The son of Mstislav Izyaslavich. Fortified princely power in Galicia and Volyn, was considered the most powerful ruler of Russia. Killed in the war with Poland.
