Biography Alyaz Jacob (Jakob Aljaz)
1845 - 1927 Jacob Alyaz was born in 1845 in Zavriev, under the mountain Smarna. After graduating from high school in Ljubljana, he went to Vienna to study philosophy, but soon changed the subject of study in theology. From 1889 until his death in 1927, he served as a priest in the Upper Carniola Dove. He had extensive talents and therefore deserve respect and publicity of its activities throughout their lives. As a composer, he expressed his love for the motherland in the writings of Triglav, "" On my house, and Slovenia ", etc.. He played an important role in development of Slovenian mountaineering, as he initiated and assisted in the construction of various huts for climbers of Mount Triglav, such as "Stanitseva, Triglav, Chapel Kredaritse" and "hut Alyaza at the Gates". The most important development was the erection of Alyazom tower at the summit of Mount Triglav, because through this, the Slovenian Triglav became a national symbol.
