Biography Anna Pavlovna
daughter of Emperor Paul I and Empress Maria Feodorovna (1795 - 1865). When the Grand Duchess had not yet turned 15 years old, Napoleon, wishing to intermarry with the Russian imperial house and to strengthen friendly relations with Russia, asked in 1809 by the French ambassador, Caulaincourt, arms A.
