Biography Berg, Lev Semenovich
Born in 1876, graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Department of the Imperial University of Moscow, received a gold medal for an essay: "Fragmentation and education parablasta a pike" (Proceedings of the Society of Naturalists, 1899). In 1899. explored, together with Elpat'evskii and Ignatiev, Salt Lake County Omsk. As a Head of Fisheries in the Syr Darya and the Aral Sea, then to the Volga (Kazan), has served on the Zoological Museum of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. In 1899 - 1907 years investigated the Aral Sea ( "Scientific results of Aral Expedition"), in 1903. - Lake Balkhash, then visited Lake Issyk-Kul. In 1909, Mr.. defended at Moscow State University Master's degree thesis on the geography under the title: "The Aral Sea. Experience physiographic monograph "(St. Petersburg, 1908), for which he was awarded a doctorate in geography.
