Biography Varpakhovskii Nicholas Arkadevich
(1862 - 1909). He graduated from the course of physical-mathematical faculty of Kazan University in 1885. Engaged in research Ichthyology faunas of Kazan Province, and the Volga basin, and then was at St. Petersburg University and in 1887, Mr.. received a master's degree, then headed by the Ministry of Agriculture fish and wild fisheries in Astrakhan, then in the Arkhangelsk province. In 1895, Mr.. seconded to the Ministry of Agriculture for the study of fisheries in the basin of the Ob River. Varpakhovskii published several works on the taxonomy and fish faunistics Russia, are more important: "Essay ichthyological fauna Kazan province" ( "Annex to the note of the Imperial Academy of Sciences", t.
