HARTMANN Viktor

(1834 - 1873). He graduated from the course at the Academy of Fine Arts. After studying nearly the construction business, primarily under the guidance of his uncle P. Gemilena, Hartmann spent several years abroad, everywhere copying parts of remarkable architectural monuments, reproducing pencil and watercolor folk types and scenes of street life. Invited then to participate in the device manufacturing All-Russia Exhibition 1870. in St. Petersburg, composed of 600 drawings, which were built pavilions of exhibitors in various sections of the exhibition. These drawings, betrayed the inexhaustible imagination, good taste, great originality, delivered Hartmann, an academician (in 1872). After he was involved in writing some of the architectural projects (gate, . projected to be built in Kiev, . in memory of the event April 4, 1866, . National Theater in St. Petersburg, etc.), . made drawings of scenery and costumes for the opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila" and participated in the device of the Moscow Polytechnic Exhibition 1872,
. Here he built belonged to the Military Department, which have hit a good use of the motives of the ancient Russian architecture and ornamentistiki to the latest goals. Still more remarkable as compiled by Hartmann draft wooden theater, built on the occasion of the same exhibition, on Lubyanka Square in Moscow.
