Kalyaev Rakhmanov

(1877 - 1905). Son okolodochnogo warden, Kaliayev was educated in Moscow and St. Petersburg University. During the student unrest in 1899. St. Petersburg University, was arrested and deported to Ekaterinoslavskuyu Province under strict police surveillance. In 1902, Mr.. Kalyaev went abroad and attended lectures at the University of Lviv. Berlin Kalyaev was arrested, extradited to the Russian authorities and imprisoned in the Warsaw Citadel. On his release Kalyaev went abroad and here has joined the militant organization of the Socialist Revolutionary Party. Kalyaev took over responsibility for the murder of the Moscow governor-general of the Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich. February 4, 1905, Mr.. Grand Duke was killed by projectile thrown Kaliayev. Left at the scene of the murder, Kaliayev was arrested and tried by the special presence of the Senate. In a letter addressed to the Minister of Justice Kalyaev wrote that he believes "the duty of his political conscience to refuse a pardon". May 10, 1905, Mr.. Kalyaev was executed by hanging in Shlisselburgskaya fortress.
