Biography Meyer, Edward A.
Born in 1859, Mr.. He graduated from the course at St. Petersburg University, was Professor of Zoology at the University of Kazan. He lectures on zoology at the University for Women in Tiflis. He received a master's degree for his thesis: "The tube worms and Serpulidae Hermellidae, as a result of their sedentary lifestyles" ( "Proceedings of the Kazan Society Estestvoicpytateley, t. XXVI, No.. 3), a doctorate for a thesis: "Studies on the development of worms" (ib., t. XXXI, No.. 4). Meyer's focus on research, mainly studying annelid worms, in addition, he studied the formation of sperm (spermatogenesis). Highlights of the works, published by Meyer (except the above theses: "Studien uber d. Korperbau d. Anneliden "(in" Mitt. d. Zool. Station zu Neapel ", t. VII, 1887; t. VIII, 1888; t. XIV, 1901); "Die Abstammung der Anneliden, der Ursprung der Metamerie und die Bedeutung des Mesoderms" ( "Biol. Centralbl. ", T. X, 1890).
