Biography John Saxon
John Dunk (Danko, Danek) of Saxony Pupil of the famous astronomer John de Lineriisa of Picardy. He worked in Paris between 1327 and 1335 he. IS. - Created in 1327 by Mr.. canons to "Alfonsinskie table (cm. Alfonso X) and based on these tables, "Almanac" (tables for 45 years from 1336 to 1380. for the meridian of Paris), which received wide circulation. IS. also belong to comment astrological treatise al-Kabisov "Liber isagogicus" (where, in particular, promotes Alkabitsiusa system houses). These comments, written in 1331, withstood more than a dozen publications in the XV - XVI centuries. (Venice, Lyon, Paris). IS. defended the possibility of astrology, especially in meteorology, but distinguished between his specialty, and religion, taking care not to intrude in the area of faith (cm.
