Antoninus Pius (Antoninus Pius)

Full name Titus Aurelius Antoninus Fulvio Boyony Arry, naming Pius (pious) was obtained for his loyalty to his adoptive father, Emperor Hadrian. Antonin had a successful career as a senator, reached the consulate in 120 and became a confidant of the emperor Hadrian, who adopted him in 138 (shortly before his death). Thus he Antonin, on the condition of Hadrian, had to adopt Marcus Aurelius and Mark Anniya Vera, who became emperor after his death.
