Biography GRA Felix (Gras, Felix)
(1844-1901) Born May 3, 1844 in Malmore (Department of Vaucluse, France). An outstanding representative of the second generation felibrizha - movement for the revival of Provencal literature, its leader (capouli) in 1891-1901. His first work, a poem of the peasant household coal miners (Li Carboni, 1876), brought him success. Then Gras published a heroic poem from the life of Simon de Montfort Toulouse (Toloza, 1881) and his most remarkable work - a collection of ballads and romances of the history of the region called Provencal Ballads (Lou Roumancero provenau, 1887). Among the most important prose works Gras - Legends of papal Avignon (Papaliny) (Li Papalino, 1891) and the trilogy Provencal (Le Provenal, 1896-1900). He died in Avignon Gras Mar. 4, 1901.
