Biography ZHORES Jean (Jaurs Jean)
(1859-1914) Born September 3, 1859 in Castres in southern France. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Supц?rieure in Paris. He taught at the Lyceum Albi and Toulouse University. In 1885 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies as a Republican. In 1893, during the second deputy's term, Jaures became a group of independent socialists. Remained socialist deputies to the end of life. Jaures - author of numerous newspaper articles. In 1904 co-founded the daily newspaper 'L'Humanite' ( 'L'Humanit'). By three volumes on the history of the French Revolution (Histoire socialiste de la Rvolution Franaise, 1901-1907). Jaurц?s advocated the revision of the Dreyfus affair. In 1899, he supported the occurrence of A. Millerand the government P.Valdeka-Rousseau. After the split of the socialist parties headed by the French Socialist Party. In 1905, Congress has obeyed the 2 nd International in Amsterdam and went to the reconciliation with the Socialist Party of France. Criticized the French government for its support of Colonialism.
