Biography LAYDEKKER Richard (Lydekker Richard)
(1849-1915) Born July 25, 1849 in London. He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge University. In 1874-1882 he worked in the Geological Survey of India. In 1884, prepared for the British Museum catalog of the ten collections of fossil mammals, fish, reptiles and birds. In 1893 he studied fossil organisms from the collection of the museum in La Plata (Argentina). Among the works Laydekkera - Phases of the life of animals (Phases of Animal Life, . 1892); deer all over the world (The Deer of All Lands, . 1898), Living and extinct wild ox, . sheep and goats (The Wild Oxen, . Died in Laydekker Harpendene near London, April 16, 1915.
