Gusev Pavel Ivanovich

Born in 1917 in s.Bornukove Nizhenorodskoy province (now Buturlino district of Nizhny Novgorod region) in the family of a village blacksmith. He began his career in student Bornukovskoy Artel-cutting in 1930. Then he studied at the Moscow Industrial Arts College named after MI Kalinin.

From 1940 to 1946 Pavel Ivanovich Gusev served in the Soviet Army.

In 1953 he began working in the sculpture workshop of Gorky offices of art fund.

Pavel Ivanovich Gusev - member of the Union of Artists. In 1965 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Since 1979. He bears the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
