Biography GITOVICH Alexander Ilyich
(1.III.1909, Smolensk - 9.YIII.1966, Leningrad) Began to publish while still a schoolboy in the Smolensk newspapers "Work Path" and "Young comrade. In 1927, Mr.. admitted as a member of Smolensk Association of Proletarian Writers (SAPP). Soon he left for Leningrad. Studied at the Faculty of Geography LSU. Nearly 20 years have given translations of classic and contemporary poets of Korea and China.
